Sunday School Curriculum for 2017-2018:
Pre-School through 3rd Grade
The Gospel Light curriculum is helping us to bring our Preschool through Third grade students God’s Word in fun, easy-to-learn ways, based on a strong foundation in the scripture.
Passion for God + Creativity + Scripture =Gospel Light
4th-5th Grade Curriculum
This class has joined with the Middle School, High School and adult classes with learning about God through the “Believe” curriculum which is a church-wide spiritual growth experience for all ages, taking churches and individuals on a journey to think, act, and be more like Jesus.  This 30-week experience introduces us to the 10 core beliefs of the Christian faith, the 10 core practices of a Jesus-follower, and the 10 core virtues that characterize someone who is growing more like Jesus.
“I believe the God of the Bible is the only true God-Father, Son and Holy Spirit.”   2 Corinthians 13:14

Children’s Church

Thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers, Parker First Baptist joyfully offers Children’s Church during the sermon portion of the worship service.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matt 19:14

Time and Location
Time:   Ages 2-5 are dismissed just after prayer time
Location:  Pre-School Classroom in the new Education Wing
In order for the teacher to have a manageable number of kids and to be able to communicate Jesus’ good news to them we lovingly ask for these guidelines to be followed:
  • Children’s Church is for ages 2 – 5 only. As soon as your little one turns 2 send them on their way to us.  We ask that kids who turn 6 before Kick Off Sunday in September graduate to sitting with the grown-ups in “big church”.
  • If your child turns 6 after Kick Off Sunday they are welcome to finish up the year in Children’s Church, or they can transition into sitting in church with you.
  • If your child has a learning disability or developmental delay please don’t be afraid to send them to Children’s Church. You can contact the Education Board with any concerns you may have.
